Specialising in visual content that is outside the normal shoot and cut style approach to video production, we utilise 2d animation 3d animation and even 2.5d animation to create visual content for television broadcast (tv commercials, tv programs), film, web content (internet content), corporate communications, visual presentations, art instalments, content for conferences and product launches. We make text presentations interesting by adding motion and visual interest. We create visual effects with CGI and compositing. We love to be involved in the creative process of our projects and have even been known to write scripts, develop concepts and confirm visual styles with storyboards and style frames. We can provide character creation and design, Concept art and Graphic design. We can produce many types of projects dealing with the concept (idea, script writing, storyboards), production (shooting, camera work, sets, locations, creative direction, on set directing) and post production ((postproduction) editing, animation, motion graphics, grading, colorising, delivery). Most importantly we love what we do and strive to provide and excellent product that we can be proud of. About US Red5 was formed at the beginning of 2008 out of a passion for motion graphics, animation and visual effects...what we refer to as the fun stuff of postproduction... This the stuff that really spins our wheels, the stuff we would do even if it wasn t our job. Fortunately it is... So our aim is to provide our clients with high quality product, whatever their application. Film, tv, presentations, corporate communications, music videos, the internet... We work closely with several other businesses, production facilities, audio postproduction facilities, concept artists, and creatives to get the job done and done well... *if you're wondering what all these buzzwords mean, here's the 'non-buzzed' version... basically anything that hasn't come out of the camera is a visual effect. We take elements like raw footage, text, and other stuff, and manipulate, move, enhance, dirty it up - whatever it takes to bring about the effect you need. And if that still doesn't make sense, best to just take a look at our showreel... [link] In fact, take a look anyway. Our Work Showreel Here is a quick montage of some our work to give you a good idea of what we ve done and hopefully give you a better idea of what we can do for you& Generation Reo This little fella was created to entertain in a series of chapter titles for a DVD program designed to encourage the teaching and speaking of the Maori language in New Zealand homes. Our brief was to turn the Kotahi Mano Kika logo into a likable 3D character and create several chapter title sequences to inject a little humour into the program. A lot of fun to work on& Rapture Ruckus As a part of our biggest project of the year, Rapture Ruckus Live at World s End , we created this web teaser to generate buzz about the forthcoming live concert DVD release. Red5 worked closely with the band and management to come up with the concept and look of the teaser to produce what we think is a pretty cool looking trailer. Great shots, great performance and a great band& Jolly Good Software This tv commercial is actually a update of an earlier version that was entirely CG but was reworked to include the clients real world location. The entire spot was created in 3D with still photos of the physical location composited into the 3D environment. Minuit A music video created for the very popular Minuit. We worked closely with the band on concept and story treatment then worked our magic with a very talented cast and crew to produce this very cinematic music clip. Logo Animations Always a challenge and, therefore, always fun are logo animations. Taking someone s static logo and bringing it to life in such a way as to further communicate the philosophy and values of the brand. Or sometimes just to look cool& Here are a couple of examples.. The Holy Roller A web teaser for an upcoming feature film release. This is one scene from the film produced specifically for the website to generate some interest in the film while it was in preproduction. Red5 were responsible for the editing of the spot and the concept and creation of the animation/ motion graphics (all created with 3D modeling and still photos). Yes. We were very happy with this little gem& What do we do? The short and technical answer is& We create motion graphics, animation, visual effects and content for film, television, corporate communication and the internet& This includes 3D modeling and animation, compositing (3D and 2D) and visual treatments& In other words& We can create any sort of visual content you need whether it be a TV commercial (or a series of them), visual effects for film or tv content, title sequences, logo animations, conceptual animations, music videos or even visual elements for presentations, conferences, product launches or installations. We have access to motion graphics designers, 3d artists, conceptual artists, creative writers, traditional cell animators, sound designers and composers& al so we can create the perfect content for your project, whatever that is& And here s the kicker& Because we love what we do, we give every job our utmost to produce a result that you are absolutely satisfied with and that we can be proud of& Contact Us For more information& Email: info@red5.net.nz Physical: Level One, 17A Leslie Hills Drive, Riccarton, Christc hurch Ph: +64 3 977 1759 Mob: +64 21 229 5864 <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ?
